Van Dam was last seen on WWE TV in 2007, and has since spent several years in TNA, even winning the TNA World Heavyweight Title within months upon arriving there. So it’s not like he hasn’t been on TV on a somewhat regular basis. For those who watch TNA, it’s not like he’s been away-away. We’re also are aware of what he can and can’t do in the ring these days.

But still, it’ll be fun to see him return, and to see him *ahem* change his moniker to the more TV-PG “The Whole Damn Show.” Van Dam has signed a short-term, limited schedule deal.

It seems as though Fandango’s concussion isn’t as serious as Ziggler’s, with the WWE already reporting that he’s passed his impact test. He’s still not cleared though. More tests and all that. It’s hard to believe the announcers are going to have to say once again, on RAW, that there’s been another concussion. That’s on top of the real one Ziggler has and the fake one Triple H feigned for storyline purposes, of course.

From WWE.com: “WWE.com sources have reported that Fandango suffered a concussion during the SmackDown taping on Tuesday night and was pulled from WWE Live Events throughout the week.

There is speculation backstage at the Richmond Coliseum — the site of tonight’s Raw — as to how this will affect the scheduled Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match at WWE Payback this Sunday pitting the dancing Superstar and The Miz against reigning titleholder Wade Barrett.”

The TCA, of which I’m a wise-cracking member, released the nominations for their annual TCA awards and…what can I say? We’re a weird, eclectic bunch. Our membership spans generations and our offerings vary and befuddle just as much as any other critic’s group. We have categories that we don’t fully know how to fill and our tastes run from top-run indie (Orphan Black, Rectify) to mass-appeal hits (Big Bang Theory, The Voice). We’ve also nominated a Netflix original series, House of Cards, for a TV award, giving you, at least, our answer as to how these new online series should be treated come awards time.

I would’ve liked to have seen Hannibal on the Best New Program list, but I’ve found that much of this is give and take. Adventure Time made the cut (in the always off-kilter Youth Programming category) and Twin Peaks, Lost and Star Trek are up for the Heritage Award.

Kinnear is best known to American audiences as MI6 Chief of Staff Bill Tanner in Quantum of Solace and Skyfall – with the role having appeared in previous Bond films such as Goldeneye, The World is Not Enough and For Your Eyes Only. Doctor Who EP/writer Steven Moffat along with Kinnear himself have also denied the rumors. The Telegraph is sticking to their assertion though. Their inside source is someone who apparently works on the show.

There’s a chance you may have missed the original Greatest Event in Television History months back when Adam Scott and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm recreated the credits for Simon and Simon, with Paul Rudd playing the director. Well, Scott’s done it again, but this time with his Parks and Rec co-star Amy Poehler and guest stars Horatio Sanz, David Wain, and Jeff Probst returning as the host. The classic ’80s show this time? Hart to Hart, which starred Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers as a married pair of independently wealthy amateur detectives.
