John Cena Injured on RAW?

Tonight on WWE RAW, during the Wyatt Family attack, John Cena legitimately injured his knee, limping through half of the segment. But how serious is it?

At first, people wondered if it was a work, but now it seems that Cena did in fact hurt himself out there, leading to some intense swelling around the knee area. No word on how critical the situation is, but I take the fact that the announcers were giving us updates all throughout RAW as a good(isn) sign.

Wyatt Family Entrance Theme Being Performed Live at WrestleMania

It’s being said that when Bray Wyatt walks down the aisle at WrestleMania 30 (to face John Cena, which is still the rumored match), he’ll have on-site musical accompaniment – as his entrance theme, by Mark Crozer and the Rels, will be performed live.

Crozer posted the following message on his Facebook page (which has since been removed): “Well as I’m no longer able to contain my excitement I may as well let you know… I’m playing Wrestlemania! I’ll let you know more details when I get them.”

Here’s the Wyatt Family theme – now renamed “Live in Fear” – for your listen

Batista Acts Like an Ass After Royal Rumble Win

Surprise surprise. The guy with the navel tat acts like a cheesehole. Fan reports have now surfaced regarding WWE Superstar Batista‘s hostile behavior toward the Pittsburgh crowd last night after winning the Royal Rumble match.

After the cameras went dark, and absolutely no one was happy, Batista walked to the back, reportedly pissed at all the boos and “NO!” chants. He got into a verbal altercation with one fan at ringside who gave him the finger – saying he could take out the guy with the snap of his fingers. Then giving the fan the finger right back.

When Batista reached the stage area, he then mocked the crowd with Daniel Bryan‘s own “YES!” chants – with middle fingers out as he thrust his arms into the air…

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Batista’s a-hole actions upset some WWE officials.

Likewise, Randy Orton (who you’ll remember was super-pissed off after the IZOD Center post-WrestleMania RAW) was “extremely angry” over the crowd’s reaction to his match with John Cena. He was reportedly heard telling Cena that they were the worst crowd ever, with Cena responding with “Don’t worry about it.

(Final thought: From everything I’ve heard, Batista’s actually a swell guy. And this wasn’t his fault, it was Vince, Hunter, and Creative’s. But this was not the way to deal with the situation.)

Watch the Final Minutes of Seth Rollins vs. John Cena

Screen Shot 2013-12-29 at 1

WWE: I wish they had the full match online, but for those who missed Smackdown‘s Main Event featuring John Cena taking on The Shield’s Seth Rollins, here are the awesome closing moments.

Rollins managed to shine quite a bit in 2013 during his series of matches with Daniel Bryan, but this year-end bout with Cena stands as his breakout moment. Again, I wish the full match was here as Rollins hit Cena with everything from enziguris to Asai DDTs to flying Blockbuster Neckbreakers.

Rumors of Backstage Chaos after RAW

WWE: As some of us could have predicted, Triple H and the higher-ups were less than thrilled about the way the ending segment went down on RAW in Seattle – namely the crowd loudly chanting for Daniel Bryan.

A backstage source told EWrestlingNews that there was “incredible turmoil” after the episode, with top management figures being caught off guard by how much the crowd hijacked the show, causing Cena to go off-script and actually bring Daniel Bryan into the mix with his promo. Even promising Bryan a title match if Cena won the Unified Championship (another reason Orton will probably win).

So there’s heat on Cena for doing that, as well as heat on Punk (for some reason) that caused a heated exchange between him and Orton.

“Orton was extremely pissed and threw a fit backstage, and things are not looking good,” reported the source, adding, “It was completely out of control near the gorilla position immediately after the show went off the air.” Some think that Orton was upset because of Cena’s harsh promo.

Meanwhile, Bret Hart was upset over Orton’s “Montreal Screwjob” comment, as he was not told about it ahead of time.

Sigh. If only everyone were allowed to just be upset at Triple H for putting himself over his own WWE Champion.

Trailer: Triple H Even Buries Guys in the Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery Cartoon!

Screen Shot 2013-12-12 at 11

Well, it’s here. The trailer for the Warner Bros./WWE team-up animated feature Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery is officially upon us. AND GUESS WHO’S CHAMPION???

So here’s the trailer, which you’ll see includes WWE Superstars such as John Cena, The Miz, Sin Cara and Vince McMahon, along with Diva AJ Lee (in her old gear, no less). Also, not to bury the lead, but there’s a ghostly demon bear (with, like, exposed ribs or something) threatening to maul everyone.

Before you watch though, check out how lists the order of stars:

“WWE Superstars and Divas including Triple H, John Cena, Kane, The Miz, Brodus Clay, Santino Marella, Sin Cara and AJ Lee will appear in animated form and lend their voices to the project. WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon will also lend his voice and appear in animated form.”

Yup, Triple H even gets top billing on the Scooby-Doo project. And as you can see from the Blue-ray box art…

…Triple H is also the champion. Wow. That’s effin’ comical. What a strange avenue to force your perverse pipe dream at people. Weirdo. This is like a joke the internet would make about Triple H. “I bet he even makes himself champ in the Scooby-Doo movie.” But here it is. And there you have it.

WWE Video Goes Out of Its Way to Prove John Cena Knows More Than 5 Moves

In a strange move, the WWE has released a video responding to critics of John Cena who claim he only knows five moves in the ring. The “Five Moves of Doom,” if you will. Check it out…

Regardless as to what you personally consider to be Cena’s “Five Moves,” it all breaks down to “he’s a limited performer from a technical standpoint.” I happen to count Cena’s hulk-up endgame his “Five Moves” (two shoulder tackles, side release belly-to-back, Five Knuckle Shuffle, AA) but that’s because those are what I’ve grown, over the years, to resent the most about Cena. Especially the wild swing and a miss that his foes have to do after the shoulder tackles. That kills me a soul sliver at a time.

So what you’ll see here in the WWE video is some of the other moves Cena does. Not all of which are on display in every match. Some are “special occasion” moves, like the hurricanrana and the sit-out powerbomb. Others are just boring and poorly executed. And then the WWE tries to gild the lily big time here by saying that a clothesline, a belly-to-back duplex, and a freaking DDT count as moves. When they’re in every single wrestler’s move set.

Hulk Hogan knew more than five moves too, but the point is that he lacked a certain athletic artistry. Anyhow, I can’t embed the video so click the picture of Cena below to check it out over at

John Cena Admits the World Title is Viewed as “Second-Tier”

In an interview with, WWE Superstar John Cena came clean about the World Heavyweight Championship, which he just recently won from Alberto Del Rio, is seen as a secondary title to the WWE Championship.

After winning the WHC, Cena said that he would “bring prestige” back to the title. When asked to elaborate on this, Cena said “This is not taken as a shot of disrespect to anyone who has held the title before me, but it’s now viewed as a second-tier championship. [Defending the title at WrestleMania XXX] will truly put a stamp on making it the real deal. I want the WWE universe to realize that it’s not a second-tier championship. It should be treated with as much respect as the WWE Title.”
